I live in the country, way outside the city limits and I love it. No traffic sounds, just happy, singing birds and my dog barking at just about everything that moves. Now in exploring my new environment, I have found that I have 4 acres of WEEDS! How did that happen? What can I do about it? Toxic chemicals are out of the question. Now to discover what these noxious plants are and what they tell me about my environment is what I need to discover. I think I like some of these plants, like dandelions and clover. Plantains are very helpful when you have a bug bite and other useful information. The adventure of plants continues.

I love Golden Guides. I got my first as a kid in the 60’s. I still have all of mine & am now buying them for my grandchildren. Not at all babyish, great illustrations, with informative written detail.

This book went to work right away...right out of the package. Getting rid of them is a constant problem some are more vulnerable in the spring, some in the fall and the all seem to be gaining ground. A thorough knowledge of these weeds is the only way to avoid the chemical warfare we should avoid if we can.I got this book to use with a chemical plan on a small scale with a licensed applicator . The pictures and text are excellent and I just wish there were more natural controls suggested.

I ordered this for my husband and he was quite happy with it looking at it all night. A happy husband is a happy home.

This is a great little book. It’s a handy size for tucking into my backpack when I’m it exploring.
