Priceless book at a wonderful price.

This is a beautiful book, with good photos of these beautiful works of art that are the lamps and candlesticks of the Art Nouveau period.The text is informative, although understandably abbreviated in some parts, as some of the subjects covered could fill entire books by themselves.I have a complaint about it, though: Peter Behrens magnificent 'Flying Lady' lamp, which is depicted on the cover, is barely given a 4x3" picture within the book itself, and the description is at best spartan. This problem befalls several other iconic works. As visual reference of artifacts from the Art Nouveau period, and with its large format, one would think important works would be given more space and description, but the only full-page photo is one of Tiffany's wisteria lamps. The biggest offending example of this lack of size is on 'Vineland Flint Glass Works' where the only picture is a tiny photo, while literally half the page is left completely blank. That being the last page before the book goes into reprinting some old French catalog, makes it feel like it was lazily, hastily finished, and the book ends with a whimper instead of a high-note. And several works which could have been displayed in color find themselves in unflattering black and white.This book is still good reference material, though I would look for it at discounted price because unfortunately to me it fails to dazzle the reader.

The designs are very nice but the paper isn’t the best quality. If using a marker, the paper has a tendency to bleed through to the next page and through the lines.

Coloring is my hobby in my retired years, lots of relaxing hours to look forward to.

My daughter loves Pig the Pug! This book does not disappoint! You'll be laughing with your kiddo as you read this at night. :) We love all of Aaron Blabey books. Thelma the Unicorn is also a favorite. If you haven't read that one, you are missing out!

Aaron Blabey is a favorite author in our house. We have pugs as pets and enjoy the silly humor and writing style. The stories are appealing to both girls and boys (my girls reread his books over and over again.)

Great little book and story for kids. My only gripe is that the pictures are maybe too good; my kids often lose the message of the story as they get distracted with the pictures on the page!

We have all the Pig the Pug books. My 5 year old thinks they’re hilarious. I enjoy reading them to him as well, so it’s a win-win!

My granddaughter loves this, seriously. When she told a little white lye I gave it to her. She couldn’t stop reading it!

I love all these books and so does my son. They’re funny and quirky and my son cracksnup every time we read them. I hope they publish dozens more of them!

I have bought almost all the Pig the Pug books for my nephews. I think they are great books. Some sentences are a little tricky but I think it is great for little kids to learn how to slow down and say what they are reading.

Book is adorable and teaches about the consequences of lying.
