I have mixed feelings about this two-book series.Pros: nice big books (8 1/2†x 11â€); helpful descriptions of topography and geography; listings of sites and restaurants to visit on your own.Cons: spellcheck errors (no proofreader?); content is repeated in the first 24 pp of each book; pictures are all black & white; maps are barely decipherable.Despite the author’s claim, “I have included all of the ports of call visited by both the major cruise lines and the upmarket and adventure cruise companies,†three of the eight ports we will visit with Holland America in 2019 are not included (Eidfjord, Molde, and Skjolden).All of the text is in a bold font, which is distracting. I question why the author decided to issue this self-published content in two volumes. If the duplicate content was eliminated, the font was not in a bold face, and a few black & white snapshots were deleted (there are pages and pages of them), this would be an impressive single-volume compendium. But stretching the content into two volumes seems a bit like a money grab.
