I am a Masters in ED student and have struggled with the concept of ID due to the peer-reviewed mumbo jumbo we are given to read. I am so grateful I searched for information to clarify the concept and happened upon this book. I have recommended it to everyone in my class. She starts with the overall history in an easy to understand, great manner. She then provides laymen’s view descriptions of each model. The test your knowledge is excellent to help you as a self-regulated learner ensure you grasp the concept. I could go on and on about how this single book allowed from to go from a C- student to an A student by giving me the keys needed to really comprehend, transfer knowledge, and remain engaged in the concept of Instructional Design. No more shot-in-the-dark tweaking! This book is an absolute essential for any home sewer. I probably resisted it longer than I should have because "everybody" says it's so great... how many books are that good? Well, this one's a revolution. Upped my sewing/fitting game exponentially--and this from someone who's been sewing for many decades. Put it together with Fit for Real People, also by Pati Palmer and Marta Alto, and Claire Shaeffer's Couture Sewing Techniques, and you'll wonder why you ever buy ready-to-wear.

I have made my own clothes, pants included, for most of my life. Although I have several books on fitting, this is among the best of them. Marta goes into great detail in pin fitting both the pattern and the cloth garment. One thing I wish she had touched on is how the garments fit the models in positions other than standing up. A garment that is fitted to a standing model, may or may not feel comfortable when the model is sitting or squatting. The Palmer Pletsch method of fitting clothing has been around, tested, revised and tested again. The models in the book are not pencil thin, tall perfectly proportioned professional models, but ordinary women, both young and mature, whose bodies have a variety of shapes and fitting challenges. I find this a very helpful fitting aid.

I am a teach-myself-to-sew person as I do not have any person or educational center near me to help me out. And there is so much information out there on sewing! But I find most of it is geared towards more skilled levels or more generic information. I had decided to stick to one type of garment to develop my skills with; decided on pants, since I am hard to fit in that area, and bounced all over the place to find information. I was pleased, after much searching, to find this easy to follow book on pattern alteration for pants. Once I master my pants, I plan to use their other books to increase my skills in other areas.

I absolutely love this book and method. It clarified the adjustment process to use on patterns to make clothes fit me better. I this method, in conjunction with the slide method in "Pattern Fitting with Confidence" on a pair of shorts that made the pattern adjustment easy and flawless. This book made me realize that a lot of women are not within the industry "standard" but that we can still have pants that fit us both comfortably and beautifully! I would highly recommend purchasing this book if you have a body shape that is not the "standard" shape. I can't wait to make more beautiful clothes that actually fit me comfortably!

Very helpful. May still want to cross reference (because there are usually more ways than one to accomplish something), but this book is VERY informative. I've started customizing commercial patterns following these instructions.... they work!

The story was just not that interesting for me. Samantha‘s obsession with that one kiss from years earlier just seems kind of dumb. I also felt that that one night led to her having a five-year relationship with someone she originally said she didn’t even want to be with. Like seriously Samantha doomed herself to a boring not loving relationship with someone she actually didn’t even seem to like most of the time. Now I don’t know about you but being disappointed by one kiss that lead nowhere would not make me get into a relationship with someone I wasn’t even interested in because he was safe. I get that she was disappointed and felt a little bit humiliated that he wasn’t as into her as she was into him. Samantha also seem to feel more humiliated and like Tristian had deceived her about actually liking her which makes her decision to agree and date Steven who she already stated she has no interest in or likes romantically seems pretty stupid. Then to make it worse she of course stays with him for the next six years in a mediocre and very disappointing relationship. Obviously this is yet another plot point so Samantha can have the justification of dumping her boyfriend by text and then getting with the guy she really wanted to be with. I also felt that the exaggeration of why she didn’t want to tell Renee about the relationship is just kind of stupid And just a plot device to cause more drama later. Overall I was just very underwhelmed by this whole book.

I thought it was an easy read. It was a cute story, but it was really hard to concentrate after reading multiple spelling mistakes/grammar mistakes.

I first started reading this book on chapters and couldn’t get enough. The chapters weren’t coming fast enough and then I realized there was a book I didn’t know about. So I got it and read it in 1 day! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Loved all the characters so much.

First, let me say that the author can definitely put words together. She needs an editor. I had a hard time finishing this book. Boring, childish, and annoying come to mind. Going back to the past was a waste of time. The H in the story was immature, indecisive, and obsessed about a kiss from six years ago. There was zero chemistry and did not give the feels like great authors do such as, Tija n and Brittainy Cherry. This author may be good at teen books because her story and characters are immature and act too young. I wonder where all the 4 and 5 stars came from. Friends, perhaps? Just a bad book.

I really enjoyed this story. The chemistry between the main characters was great and the author did a wonderful job of describing details of the story.I think this book would make a great TV movie. (Lifetime, Hallmark)

I have to read more of her books, sensual without being vulgar.

Stumble on the story through an interactive game and since I've heat that some of this stories are way different than the book and searched for it. It's warmed my heart. The guild the anticipation helplessness are very close to home. I love it. It's gonna be one of my favorite.

The boy I hate is one of the best stories I’ve read it the longest time. I can’t remember the last time I finished a book so quickly. It was raw and intriguing. Never a dull moment. I love this story so much. It’s a must read!

This is another great introductory book by Praying Medic. I love this teacher as he doesn't have a 500 page book how to do something with all the rules and protocols, but he writes a simple introduction and encourages you the reader to go and experience it yourself. This week my husbands niece was hospitalized, her liver shut down, she was on life support and they were to make the decision to unplug her and let her die... because of this book, I went into my bedroom and went by faith into the court of accusation and followed the example in this book...today she is still in the hospital but her liver is functioning again. The possibility that this is true, that this is actually how believers should fight is encouraging but slightly intimidating as well. I've always know that Satan is a legalist but didn't know exactly how to make him vacate my life. I broke generational curses over and over again. Satan stole my husband my family my wealth and continues to try to block God's promises blessings to me.
